What is the writer trying to find out more about through their research (what research question guides his work)?
The writer is trying to find out more about the how the band originated, and how it came into its own. What makes them – them basically. Why they are unique, and how they became that way.
What sort of texts or sources does the author quote from to build his argument?
The writer uses previous songs and articles about songs that are said to be fake, or re-written, not original.
In what ways do you see others around you attempting to establish their “authenticity”?
Although others strive to be original most, of this “authenticity” is just stereotypes of a specific style, genre or lifestyle. People today have lost themselves in the hype what is first and foremost socially acceptable, they mimic the old fashions and try to put their own spin on it. But what is satirical is that this originality is brought about the media, people get their ideas from everywhere, everything that they see.
